CMPC sets up 30 rice store outlets

From January to August 2016, the Camarines Sur Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CMPC) had singlehandedly established 30 rice store outlets in its home province and even traveled as far as Baguio City to create rice stores there as well.

This initiative was undertaken in order to protect farmers from unfair trade of palay which mostly turn against their advantage and at same time, help them increase their income capacity through the engagement of cooperative agri-business.

The strategy works through the regular procurement of palay during harvest season, compilation of stock supply to last until the next harvest season, milling, and free delivery.  JMTS/Education Committee
